Happy Birthday to me

I had a really good birthday even though I had to go to work (: flowers, flowers more flowers (which I love), goodies, goodies and an iphone tehee I almost fainted, I had put it out there that I really wanted one and low and behold........ Here are some pics from the day and to another year. Thanks mum (ja stu) for the love.

Bithday on the horizon

I have a birthday in a few hours and in preparation for that, I thought I would treat myself to a facial, a body scrub, my waxing and threading and yes!!!! a manicure and pedicure (: and boy was I busy but it was worth it.

The body scrub was wonderful the showers were warm and nice so I fell asleep

The facial ooooolala fell asleep again (: but woke up feeling refreshed

The mani- pedi I have got to try to do this on a regular basis (: . I got some really nice polish from Avon in warm back and midnight plum. the warm black is yummy my hands and feet say thank you very much !!!

and the hair removal eye brow and other essential areas all done so the B'day will catch me like I want it to (: and for that I am happy

So another celeration is on the horizon and I am looking forward to it.

ps ordered a really nice cake to celebrate (: and I think I should do these treats more often and find some other special treats for the b'day yeh dat sounds like a plan(: tehee

2 Years & Counting

Well here they are my two year old locks freshly retightened. I had to travel on the knutsford express have them done but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!!! made it to another landmark on the journey (: complete ponytail on the way. So far so good and tho 'I am not my hair' I am loving this journey (:

I am learning to be patient

Living life and learning lessons. Workin in public health is stressful yes but it is also interesting, a few things have become very apparent to me we who do this work must become vessels of healing and wellness I do not believe we can truly help others in this type of setting if we do not. It dawned on me this week thatwe are always learning and inefficiences as they appear may sometimes be because I new member has joined the team and is learning the ropes (: so just as I would expect the consideration of others I should have it for others. Finding creative solutions is also another skill I am trying to hone. So the research continues to find an internship programme while learning on the job and making my contribution. Today was a day off so I just took some down time always like to recoop every now and again. On the hair note my 2 year lock anniversary is next week and look like I might be able to do a retightening and then maybe do the course in January we will see. So I will definately try to do some pics for comparison God willing (: can you tell I am excited!!!

made it to the beach

almost one year in the Republic and finally made it to the beach (: great to have sister locks swim-have a blast-have lunch-go home -wash sister locks (: was nice to watch the sunset today its been rainig constanly today we enjoyed some sunshine yeah!!!!

Bath time & changing locks

This is what happens when you get up @ 6 am to get ready and feel idle (: My hairties are begiining to double as bath time ties. I have for the last couple of weeks stopped using a shower cap and as you can see 2 weeks away from the 2 year loc-a-versary my hair needs to be retightened. I am no longer in the same city with my consultant and this may be the push I need to learn how to retighten my hair at least there would not be this juggling to line up my time with hers ): so looks like I might actually be doing my hair closer to the 2 year mark (: as you can see I have a ponytail (with everything in the B hairtie).

To the GRADUANDS!!!!

This past Saturday I graduated (: and oh what a blast it was call it 24 hours of non stop celebration with my family and some of my dearest friends!!!! I am not gonna get all nostaligic I will just say support is important!!!! on the journey of life and it feels good to have completed something we started me and all who were involved. A shout out to all the people who serve others through teaching especially at the tertiary level, by ensuring the next generation has knowledge. To my DH, momee, dadee and my bestest friend!!!! and all the crew thanks cause Jah knows I could not have done it with out each of you..... whats next internship!!!!! (:
