8th Month-a-versary

Hey its been eight months to the day that I got my sister locks. I had my retightening and I still have that one lock in the right temple that still slips but its all good. Everything else is fine. I have two bottles of starter shampoo on the way and my consultant says when they are finished I can try out the Salon Shampoo and Herbal Spray Moisturizer yesss the 'product junkie' in me is happy!!! I am thinking when I do the order I will also order the moisture treatment. As always I will keep my blog buddies informed on the results just happy to be able to try something/s new. Just Checking In

I have been staying with my mother for a while so this is the first time I am sitting at my computer in the solace of my space for a while. In fact the last few entries where done using her computer. So much has happended to change my life in the last three weeks. My brother died tragically 5 days after his beautiful baby boy was born, leaving a void I feel like a little part of me died with him. I stopped going to my summer session of classes so I am in limbo at the mo. And though I know I may never understand the God I serve, I pray that one day he might reveal to me something.

Somethings that have become clear to me in the last couple of weeks people talk and sometimes all tings dem don't know and I must guard my thoughts and speech against this. Life is fragile and no matter how perfect it may seem God is the Author and Finisher of it and so seek after him and be good to others (whomever they may be), Love the ones God has brought close to you and remember that we are not promised the next moment.

Bro it is our faith that we pray with the communion of saints and so I continute to pray that your soul be recieved and that you find rest. Know that even though it was not said often enough I love you and I know you loved me .

On the hair I am fast approaching my 8th month-a-versary, I have a retightening on Wednesday, contemplating putting some colour back in once its ok to do so and at the moment loving my soft spike curls.

Soft Spikes

These are great. I washed my hair put in the soft spikes and left them in over night. And the results were lots of curls. Now since I am not supposed to use any product (consultants directive) it will be interesting to see how long the curl lasts. But I like, and yes they were comfortable to sleep in. So these are for keeps. A little tedious to put them in but the reults are worth it (:

CARUSOS

Well they came my 'carusos' and this was the result. Though I did not get alot of curl it gave volume. I got 6 of each size in the original package so I think I am going to need some more of the small ones 12 more should do it. I had to do a part of my hair remove the rollers and then did the rest. But I still think they are a good investment and they will come in handy. Loving and experimenting with my sister locks. PS Once I can do them smaller and the whole head at one time it should be fine. Lets see what happens next time.
